Natashya Wilson

Former Editorial Director at Harlequin Teen

Shara is one of the smartest and most well-connected communications pros I've ever worked with. She plans her campaigns strategically, honing in on the targets that will yield the best results while leaving no stone unturned. I would often joke that she should be in marketing, since she would come up with creative ideas that didn't fit the narrow definition of publicity. On top of everything, she is an incredible mentor.

Brianna Yamashita

VP, Executive Director of Marketing for Scribner

I had the pleasure of working closely with Shara at People Inc. Shara supported multiple brands across the company, and she was an invaluable partner to me and our editorial team. Shara was tireless, creative, and highly effective in her approach to press and media outreach. She was constantly brainstorming new ideas, developing smart angles, and identifying fresh opportunities to get our work in front of the right audiences. She consistently delivered results. Just as importantly, Shara was always a pleasure to work with.

Daniel Gritzer

Editorial Director at Serious Eats

F.A.Q.

When should I reach out before my launch?

Ideally 4–6 months before pub date or a major brand announcement. For long-lead print and national TV, even earlier is better.

Do you work with debut authors and emerging brands?

Yes, if the idea and timing are right. We’ll be honest if we don’t think PR is the best use of your budget right now.

Do you only work with New York–based clients?

No. We work with clients across the U.S. and internationally; the media we target depends on your goals and audience.

What does engagement typically look like?

Clients partner with us through focused 3–6 month campaigns or ongoing retainers, depending on their goals and needs. We’ll recommend the right structure after your consultation.
